HISTORICAL RAJASTHAN

Delhi-Mandawa-Bikaner-Jaisalmer-Jodhpur-Udaipur-Jaipur-Agra-Delhi

Durations: 11 Nights / 12 Days

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Welcome to Delhi, INDIA. Begining of the partial tour to India. Relax in Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi-Mandawa

Morning Breakfast and drive to Mandawa. Sight seeing of the Shekhavati villages. The whole area of Shekhavati has beautiful frescoes, havelis, and mansions are called the open air galleries. Overnight at Mandawa. Beautiful paintings attract to make this place for planning a residence for a long time.

 

 

Day 03: Mandawa-Bikaner

Morning breakfast and drive to Bikaner. Afternoon tour of the desert city. Bikaner is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort housing old palaces, temples, and mosques. Founded by Raja Rai Singh, fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, series of balconies, and aerial windows of varying designs. An arched doorway leads to the Joramal Temple. The royal chapel is Har Mandir used for royal weddings and births celebrations. Overnight at Bikaner.

Day 04: Bikaner-Jaisalmer

Breakfast & drive to Jaisalmer visiting Rat Temple enroute.

Day 05: Jaisalmer

Sight seeing of Jaisalmer - Fort, bazars, and the old mansions known as "havelis". People still live in the ancient building dating from 12th to 15th century.

Every house has exquisite carvings, and filigree work.

Overnight stay at Jaisalmer.

 

Day 06: Jaisalmer-Jodhpur

Breakfast and by surface to Jodhpur. Afternoon visit to Meharangarh Fort - situated on a low sandstone hill, including Moti Mahal, and Phool Mahal, Jaswant Thada - an imposing Marble Memorium built in 1899 and the museum located in the Umaid Public Gardens. Jodhpur tour sustains in mind for a long period. Overnight at Jodhpur.

Day 07: Jodhpur-Udaipur

After breakfast drive to Udaipur via Ranakpur by having a small break. Ranakpur - the Jain Temples built in the 15th century are situated in the lovely valley of the Aravali. Its surrounding is quiet and picturesque. Ranakpur has grand structure and beautiful sculpture, with 1444 pillars in the temple and none of them are similar. The magic of light & shade is really inspiring. Surya Temple and other Jain Temples are again attractions. Stay at Udaipur.

Day 08: Udaipur

Sight seeing of City palace, Jagdish Temple, Sahelion ki bari (Queen's resort for her friends), and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk art museum). Afternoon at leisure. Overnight Udaipur.

 

 

 

Day 09: Udaipur-Jaipur

After breakfast drive to Jaipur via Ajmer, and Pushkar. Visit the Tomb of the Sufi Saint - Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, Dargah Sharif. The city was founded by the Chauhan ruler, Aiaipal, during the 11th century and is dominated by the Taragarh Fort built by Prithiviraj Chauhan.

By Indian standard Pushkar is a small and peaceful place. It is set on the banks of a holy lake and has many temples, including the temple of Bramha, only in the world. Strolling through the bazaar street on the shore of the lake is fun. Overnight at Jaipur.

Day 10: Jaipur

After breakfast full day tour of Jaipur. Amber Fort - the ancient capital of the state, the Sheesh Mahal within or the hall of victory glittering with mirrors.

Elephant ride to climb and come back is an exclusive experience. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince.

Built by Maharaja Jai Singh - a notable astronomer the city founded 260 years ago. City Palace, the Observatory, and Ram Niwas Gardens are the sites worh watching. Drive past Hawa Mahal, and through the pink rose business and residential areas.

Overnight stay at Jaipur.

Day 11: Jaipur-Agra

Drive to Agra by visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, and Panch Mahal. Overnight at Agra.

By reaching Agra in the afternoon visit the Taj Mahal, built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains, Agra Fort, the halls of Public and Private Audience, Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father.

Day 12: Agra-Delhi

Early morning breakfast and then drive to Delhi. Sight seeing of Delhi - Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the cremation ground of Mahatma Gandhi, and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk, Qutab Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), and drive past President's House, Parliament House, finally transfer to connect the selected mode of transporation to the destination.
