Day 01: Arrive Leh
On arrival meet and greet, transfer to hotel to stay. The day at leisure for complete rest as the place stands at a height of 3500 meters above sea-level and an individual needs to get acclimatized to this level. Evening take a short walk to the local market. Dinner and night stay at Leh.
Day 02: In Leh (Shey, Thiksey & Hemis)
After breakfast full day sightseeing to the massive Tibetan Buddhist Gompas of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis. A few kilometers up the Indus is - Shey, the ancient capital - palaces, temples, and vibrantly colored murals, cleaned and restored in the mid 1980’s to be visited. Later to visit the monastery of Thikse, and Hemis monastery - famous and rich Buddhist temple in the entire region. After exploring the sacred monasteries finishes the visits of the day. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Leh To Khardungla Top
Morning visit to the highest motored pass in the world - an exciting journey through serpentine roads leads us to the Khardungla Pass at a height of 5600 meters. A break at the pass to click some photographs of the fantastic view before being back to Leh. In leisure for individual activities.
Day 04: Leh To Pangong
Full day visit to Pangong Lake. The surface from Leh to Pangong Tso crosses through the villages of Shey and Gya and on to Kharu. From Kharu the journey leads to another mountain pass called Chang-La (5425 m). The climb to Chang-la is tough and by reaching the top, greeted with a Sign that says "You have reached the Mighty ChangLa". The road from Chang-La is very good and passes through Tangste and small villages. The final hurdle on this road is called "The Crazy Stream". After crossing the stream, welcomed by the first View of Pangong Tso - the lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,250 m (13,900 ft), is 134 km long and extends from India to China. Two thirds of the length of this lake lies in China. The lake is 5 km wide at its broadest point. In winter, the lake surface freezes completely despite being salty water. Bar headed Goose and Brahmini Duck are commonly seen here in summer. Around the lake supported by a number of species of wildlife including the Kiang and the Marmots. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 05: Depart Leh
Early morning breakfast at the hotel and drive to the airport to connect flight to the final destination.
