Day 01: Paro – Thimpu (65 Kms / 2 Hrs)
Arrive Paro & transfer to Thimpu, set gloriously in the hills of Thimpu valley, is home to the revered Bhutanese Royal Family, the Royal Govt. and Judiciary. Upon arrival proceed to your hotel. Evening visit Tashi Chuu Dzong, the main secretariat building which houses the throne room of his majesty the king of Bhutan. Overnight at hotel Thimpu.
Day 02: Thimpu
This morning you will visit BBS Tower to enjoy an aerial view of the Thimpu Valley, also visit the National Library, paper factory and Memorial Chorten. In the afternoon you will be taken to School of Art and Craft, Zangthopelri Lhakang and Handicrafts Emporium. Overnight at hotel in Thimpu.
Day 03: Thimpu – Punakha (77 Kms / 2 – 3 Hrs)
This morning transfer to Punakha capital of Bhutan untill 1955. Enroute drive past Semothka Dzong & Dochula Pass (10500 feet) which offers an enchanting view. Afternoon visit The Punakha Dzong, seat of past Kings and Lamas before the capital moved from Punakha to Thimphu. Overnight at hotel Punakha.
Day 04: Punakha – Paro (140 Kms / 4 – 5 Hrs)
Today transfer to Paro via Wangdue Phodrang or Wangdi’s Palace, perched dramatically at the edge of the cliff overlooking the Punak Chhu river. Afternoon at leisure in Paro. Overnight at hotel in Paro.
Day 05: Paro
This morning visit Durugyel Dzong or the Fort of Drupka Victory. This is a historical site from the ramparts of which the Bhutanese repelled the Tibetan invaders, time and again. Later proceed to Taktsang Monastery, 'Tiger's Nest' situated 3000 feet above the valley floor. This afternoon you will visit Paro Dzong, the National Museum housed in an ancient watchtower, which has the finest collection of Tankha Paintings the world over. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Depart Paro
Transfer from hotel to Airport for your onward journey.
