CLASSIC WILD LIFE

Delhi - Agra - Bharatpur - Jaipur - Bandhavgarh

Durations: 14 Nights / 15 Days

Day 01: Delhi Arrival

Arrive Delhi, Greeted by the Pearls executive and Transfer to your hotel.

Morning tour of Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings & Connaught Place shopping centre. Overnight stay at Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi Agra

After Breakfast drive to Agra. Afternoon city tour visiting the world famous Taj Mahal and the Red Fort. Overnight at Agra. Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays. 

 

 

Day 03: Agra Bharatpur

Morning drive to Bharatpur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri built by emperor Akbar in 1569 AD and later abandoned due to scarcity of water. Visit the Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur - one of the most spectacular water birds sanctuary features nesting indigenous water - birds as well as migratory water birds and water side birds. It is inhabited by sambar, chital, nilgai & boar. From October till December the indigenous water birds nest in the acacia trees, sarus cranes nest around the lake. From December on, the migratory geese, duck and cranes are the main feature of the sanctuary. Overnight stay at Bharatpur hotel. 

Day 04: Bharatpur Jaipur

Morning continue with the visit of the bird sanctuary. Later drive to Jaipur. Overnight stay at Jaipur.

Day 05: Jaipur

Morning visit the Amber Fort - the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Afternoon tour of Jaipur. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace & the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas Overnight at the hotel in Jaipur.

Day 06: Jaipur Ranthambore

Drive to Ranthambore. Evening game drive in Canter vans. This is Rajasthan's first Project Tiger reserve & named after a 1000 year old fort which stands in the park. It has an congenial habitat for the stately sambar, the largest of all Asiatic deer. Tigers, chital, wild boar & other animals are also found here. Woodland, ground and water-birds abound the park including the uncommon red jungle fowl & varieties of eagles. Water tank harbours marsh crocodile and python. Overnight Ranthambore. 

Day 07: Ranthambore

Morning and evening visit sanctuary. Overnight Ranthambore. 

Day 08: Ranthambore Shivpuri

Post Breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Shivpuri. Afternoon free for visiting the sanctuary.156 square kms in area, the Madhav National Park of Shivpuri is open throughout the year. With a varied terrain of wooded hills, it offers abundant opportunities of sighting a variety of wildlife. The predominant species that inhabits the park is the deer, the commonest of them being the dainty chinkara, the Indian gazelle and the chital. Other common species are nilgai, sambar, blackbuck, sloth bear, leopard and the langur. Overnight stay at Shivpuri.

Day 09: Shivpuri Khajuraho

After breakfast drive to Khajuraho. The world famous Khajuraho temples were built by the Chandela kings between 950 AD and 1050 AD. The most important are the Chaunset Yogini Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, Mahadev Temple, Chitragupta or Bharatji Temple with a lovely image of 11 headed Vishnu, Vishvanath and Nandi Temples, Lakshmana Temple, Visha Temple of Shiva, which is the largest & most typical of temples. Visit the Eastern group of temples that consist of the Parasvanath Temple - the only Jain Temple surviving at Khajuraho & has excellent sculptures on the outer walls of the Sanctum, the Javeri Temple dedicated to Vishnu. The other temples in this group are those dedicated to Brahma, Yamuna and Adinath. Overnight stay at your hotel in Khajuraho. 

Day 10: Khajuraho Bandhavgarh

Post Breakfast proceed to Bandhavgarh. Evening game drive. Its steep cliffs, rocky hills covered with 44884 hectare of dense sal & bamboo forests makes it an ideal terrain for tigers. Other animals are the blue bull, panther, wild boar, gaur, chital sambar, chinkara, barking deer, bear etc. The avian life consist of paradise fly-catcher, Malabar pied hornbill, orange headed ground thrush etc. Overnight at Bandhvgarh.

Day 11: Bandhavgarh

Morning & evening game viewing. Overnight Bandhavgarh.

Day 12: Bandhavgarh Kanha

Drive to Kanha after having your breakfast in the Hotel. Kanha a wild country where huge trees of bija, haldu, dense sal, and bamboo thickets form lush forests. The forest is home of a variety of wildlife and offers unrivaled scope to keen photographers of Indian wildlife. The magnificent gaur and the rare barasingha are prime attractions. With its large population, the tiger is easily sighted from elephant back or open jeeps.Overnight at Kanha.

Day 13: Kanha

Morning and evening visit sanctuary. Overnight Kanha.

Day 14: Kanha Bombay

Drive to Nagpur airport to board the flight for Bombay flight. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Overnight Bombay.

Day 15: Bombay

Morning tour of Bombay. Visit Kamla Nehru Park, Hanging Gardens situated on the slopes of Malabar Hill offering a panoramic view of Marine Drive, Chowpatty Beach, Prince of Wales Museum, Mani Bhawan, Dhobi Ghat, Gateway of India & drive through the Crawford Market, Marine Drive & Flora Fountain. Check out at 12 noon. Later transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward destination.
